Koraljka Polaček is a professional painter and art teacher.
She was born in Zagreb, Croatia, into a family of artists. In 1991, she enrolled in the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb and graduated in 1998 in the class of Professor Eugen Kokot.
While still attending the Academy, Koraljka started exhibiting her paintings in collective and individual exhibitions, as well as taking part in art colonies and art/humanitarian projects.
After graduating from the Academy, she was teaching Art at Ljubljanica Elementary School in Zagreb, where she was also awarded the Europe at School Award (2001).
During the summer months from 1995 to 2003, Koraljka worked and exhibited her paintings in the family-owned Atelier Marić, in Baška (Island of Krk).
In 2007, Koraljka moved to the Island of Cres and became a full-time artist. That resulted in exploring new media such as wool painting and painting on stones. From 2019 to 2003 she was teaching Art at the elementary school in the town of Cres.
Koraljka Polaček has been a member of the Croatian Association of Artists HDLU since 1998.
Her paintings are part of private collections in Croatia and abroad. Today she lives and works in the city of Rijeka, Croatia.
